[11] Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned
in whatever situation I am to be content. [12] I know how to be
brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance,
I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance
and need. [13] I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

God is in control over everything. That why Paul be content he knows God will be
faithful. Our emotions do not are not content. That is why pray to our Father
he will comfort us. But Paul as learned to be content in every situation. We
learn content in every situation as we learn to trust our Redeemer over time.

The operative word being “learned” …. contentment doesn’t come naturally to us, rather, by the kindness and compassion and goodness of God in the midst of our debilitating, frustrating, difficult circumstances, or even in the midst of our “too good to be true” circumstances, we learn that true contentment doesn’t rest in circumstances: for they change, but in God Alone, who never changes.
Thank you Paul for your ongoing encouragement and reminders of God’s faithfulness.
