The Church

In Church forgiveness is the key to peace and harmony in the Church. When we gossip and run down the leadership or anybody else in Church we are sinning.  The leadership prays for the congregation and never criticizes anyone in the congregation.  If leadership fails in your eyes forgive them as Christ have forgiven you.  If someone offends you don’t stop from coming to worship, learn how to forgive.  Repentance is key to a transformed life.  If you run down anyone you are sinning against God. We need to repent and forgive that person.  Forgiveness is hard to do but Jesus Christ commands us to forgive our brothers and sisters.  If we trust Christ for our life we will forgive or over look the sins someone brings against us.

Prayer is the way to forgiveness. Pray for the one you are angry with for days, weeks, months, years and when you are at peace forgive that person and tell them how they offended you. And then give them a hug.

If you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. (Matthew 6:14-15)

You have heard that is was said, “Love you neighbor and hate your enemy.’  But tell you : Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven.  He causes his sun to rise on evil and the good, and sends rain on righteous and unrighteous.  If you love who loves you, what reward will you get?  Are not even the tax collectors doing that?  And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others?  Do not even pagans do that?  Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Hating anyone is murdering someone. (Matthew 5:21-26)

So we have only two choices in the Church: repent and forgive.  These are the only two options Jesus Christ gives us. Then we need to love everyone we meet no matter how offensive they are, whether male or female, or children.  A loving response and kindness given toward offender will always melt a hard heart.  Read Dietrich Bonoeffers biography by Eric Metaxas to witness a man who loved everyone he met.

By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. (John 13:35 NIV)

If anyone claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness. Whoever loves his bother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble.  But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness; he does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded him.

I write to you, dear children, because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name.  I write to you, fathers, because you have known him who is from the beginning.  I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one.  I write to you, dear children because you known the Father.  I write to you, young men because you are strong , and the word of God  live in you, and you overcome the evil one. (1 John 2:9-14 NIV)
