Pearl Harbor Day

On Sunday morning at Pearl Harbor Hawaii December 7, 1941 at 7:53 AM the Japanese attacked us sinking many ships.  During the attack 2,400 people lost their lives and more than 1,100 were injured.  When I was a child I met a man who was at Pearl Harbor when the Japanese attacked our Nation.  Three years later my father with thousands of men attacked the beaches at Normandy, France.  During Christmas my father fought off, with other men the surprise German offensive called the Battle of the Bulge.   He was wounded twice once from a phosphorus grenade and once from shrapnel from a shell the hit near by my father.   Throughout his life he relived the war when he slept.
