This passage is about submitting to authority.

[7] Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered. [Suffering for Righteousness’ Sake] [8] Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. (1 Peter 3:7-8 ESV)

This passage is about unity.

[25] Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, [26] that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,

in this passage Paul is applying Gospel to marriage and children.

[19] Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them. (Colossians 3:19 ESV)

If get angry with your wife you are killing her in your heart.  When get angry walk away and back later and ask forgiveness for getting angry.  However, do let the sun go down when you are angry.   When we are harsh with your wives we sin.   Never hit your wife for any reason.  If have a disagreement discuss it without getting angry.   Jesus says the when a man and women get married they become one not just sexually but over time you will become one emotionally as well.

Difigure out how wife wants to be loved.  Debbie responds to me when I do the laundry, sweep the floor, vacuum the carpets, do the pots and pans and do yard work.  I touch her many times during the day and tell how much I love her.  Other women may respond to you by listening to them.  Or your wife may repond to gifts that give her.

Debbie and rarely fight because we have become one.   We rarely disagree about anything.   Please your wife with your life style.  You need to the leader in your family spiritually and practically.
