Jesus the only Lord and King

There is only one God. Who is represented by the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. There is no other god in the world but He.

Why do the nations comspire and the peoples plot in vain?  The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the Lord and against his Anointed One.   “Let us break their chains, ” and say, “and throw off their fetters.”

The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.  Then he rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying “I have installed my King on Zion, my holy hill.”

I will proclaim the decree of the Lord:

He said to me, “You are my Son, today I have become your Father.  Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, and the ends of the earth your possession.  You will rule them with an iron scepter, you will dash them to pieces like pottery.”

Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear and rejoice with trembling.   Kiss the Son, lest he be angry and you be destroyed in your way, for his wrath can flare up in a moment.  Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

Psalm 2

The desert and the parched land will be glad;  the wilderness will rejoice and blossom.  Like the crocus, it will burst into bloom;  it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy.  The glory of Lebanon will be given to it,  the splendor of  Carmel and Sharon;  they will see the glory of the Lord,  the splendor of our God.

Strenthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way;   say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.”

Then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped.  Then will the lame leap like a deer, and the mute tongue shout for joy.  Whater will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert.  The burning sand will become a pool, the thirsty ground bubbling springs.  In the haunts where jackals once lay, grass and reeds and papyrus will grow.

And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness.  The unclean will be not journey on it; it will be for those who walk in that Way; wicked fools will not go about on it.  No lion will be there nor will any ferocious beast get up on it; they will not be found there.  But only the redeemed will walk there, the ransomed of the Lord will return.  They will enter Zion with singing;  everlasting joy will crown their heads.  Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

Isaiah 35

I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithfull and True. With justice he judges and makes war. His eyes are like a blazing fire, on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself.  He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty.  On his robe and on his thigh he as this name written: King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

….Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.  I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as bride  beautifully dressed for her husband.  And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Now the dewelling of God is with men, and he will live with them.  They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.  He will wipe every tear form their eyes.  There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain,  for old order of things has passed away.”  He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!”    Then he said, “Writed this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”   He said to me: “It is done.  I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.  To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life.  He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son.  But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murders, the sexually immoral, the idolaters and all liars—their place will be in the fiery lake of buning sulfur. This is the second death.”
