Sex

For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.  Ephesians 1:4

The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.  By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also.   Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I take the members of Christ and unite with a prostitute?  Never!   Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body?  For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.”  But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit.

Flee sexual immorality.  All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body.  Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?  You are not your own; you were bought at a price.  Therefore honor God with your body.   I Corinthians 7:12-20

Part of being holy is not indulging ourselves in sexual immorality

Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual impurity, or any kind of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.  Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.  For of this this you can be sure: No immoral, impure,  greedy person–has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.  Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient.  Therefore  do not be partners with them.                Ephesians 5:1-7

The only sex should be between a husband and a wife everything else is sinful.  Solo sex, sex before marriage, pornography, extra material affairs are forbidden in the Christian life.  Men and women struggle with sexual sin.  A guy may be trying to find the perfect lay or a woman  may just want a baby and is  looking for a man to give her one.  Homosexuality is perverse.  (Romans 1:26-27; Leviticus 18; Judges 19-21; Genesis 13 & 14)

The Gospel says anyone who is a Christian and struggling with sexual sin the Holy Spirit will challenge you to change.  Once you leave your sexual immorality behind you, you will be truly blessed.   Pray for one another, share your sins with each other and support one another with the Gospel of Grace.
