Trials and Hardships

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning the shame, and sat down at the right hand of God.  Consider him who endured the cross such opposition for sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.   Hebrews 12:2-3

Consider it pure joy, my brothers whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of faith develops perserverance.  Perserverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.   James 1:2-4

Christ endurd the cross so that we will not lose heart in doing good.  The trials of life tests our faith and eventually develps perseverance that will bring maturaty, completeness so we will lack nothing.

As we trust Christ as we encounter trials he will prove himself faithfull as we endure the trial in faith.  As we repeatedly trust Christ as we experience all kinds of trials we begin to learn to trust in his will for us.  When bad things occur in our lives and we maintain that our God is good to us and our faith then becomes unshakeable.  When life threatening events come to us and we are sure of God’s good intentions toward us we can face anything unafraid.  Jesus died for us enduring the shame of the cross to ecourage us to face the hard things in life and still believe in him.

James says count it all joy that trials come in to our lives.  I have suffered many kinds of trials in my life and many painful years yet God has proved himself faithful to me everytime.  I face a fatal disease and I still put my trust in Jesus Christ because Jesus has proven to me to be faithful.  He has given me many promises that assure me of his intentions toward me.  I am at peace. Praise his holy name!
